Efa Supertramp (folk punk singer/songwriter from Wales, Ex-"The Stilletoes") & Ren Aldridge (acoustic punk & spoken word, front-singer Petrol Girls)
EFA SUPERTRAMP
Efa Supertramp is a folk punk grrrl armed with just an acoustic guitar and a powerful voice. With her passionate attitude for performing and DIY culture, she’s been making a name for herself in the underground punk and folk scene with her truthful attitude to life and politics. Originally from Wales, now based in London, Efa sings in both English and Welsh, her mother-tongue language. Her songs are angry but uplifting, she hates money, power, greed and inequality, but loves living life as free as she can.
“Blessed with a beautifully powerful voice, she’s one of the most potent political songwriters around.” – The Morning Star

REN ALDRIDGE
Ren fronts feminist hardcore punk band Petrol Girls, but also does a load of other art/ music/ writing projects which she’s trying to mush together into a coherent live set for this Wriot Women tour. Before Petrol Girls, she toured a lot solo as renspitsatmagpies, with acoustic band Feralus and on backing vocals for Mike Scott. The plan is to go back to this starting point, and make a set that mixes acoustic music with spoken word, performance art and zine reading. This will probably include stuff from her zine MWMW, old or strange acoustic versions of Petrol Girls songs, and stuff from her new collaboration with Pete Miles: PASTE.
