DERV GORDON OF THE EQUALS FEATURING SO WHAT
In den 1960er Jahren von dem jamaikanischen Frontmann Derv Gordon und dem Gitarristen Eddy Grant gegründet, waren THE EQUALS die erste multiethnische Gruppe, die in England Anerkennung fand. Die Band hat mit ihrer einzigartigen Kombination aus Pop, Soul, Reggae und R & B großen Erfolg erzielt. Mit Songs wie "Baby Come Back", "Police On My Back" (später von The Clash) und "I Get So Excited" erzielten sie Hits im In- und Ausland.
Als eine multiethnische Gruppe hatte THE EQUALS einen großen Einfluss auf die britische Musikkultur und war eine große Quelle der Inspiration für spätere Bands wie The Clash und UB40. Letzterer erzielte 1994 mit "Baby Come Back" den ersten Platz. Genau 50 Jahre nach der Veröffentlichung ihres erfolgreichen Albums mit dem gleichen Titel wie ihr größter Hit "Baby Come Back" kehrt Frontmann DERV GORDON für einen Abend mit schwingenden Northern Soul Klassikern nach Hamburg zurück.
The Equals gehören zu den großen Bands der 1960er und 1970er Jahre, deren Musik bis heute einflussreich ist.

Hallo. Wir sind HEAD . Wie geht's? Wir kommen aus Seattle. Seit 1990 kicken wir durch die stressigen Straßen von Queen Anne Hill. HEAD ist Ree Ree mit Bass / Gesang, Touch on Guitar und Tulu on Drums. Wir haben mehrere Platten auf unserem Imprint Evil Clown Records sowie auf Steve Priest Fan Club, Regal Select und Goner veröffentlicht.

Head was formed in 1990 in Seattle, WA. They are a power-pop band with an early Ramones influence. They release their records on their own Evil Clown Records label. They started off as a trio consisting of Tulu on drums, Ree Ree on bass and Touch on Guitar; adding Giggles on second guitar later, releasing 2 LP's and a few 7"s as a foursome. In 1998 Giggles quit the band and Head released their latest LP as a trio.

SLANDER TONGUE ist eine Berliner Rock & Roll-Band. Vier Jungs, die die letzten Jahre in verschiedenen Bands (BIKES, SICK HORSE, King Khan & THE SHRINES) und Bars verbracht haben. Es ist schön, eine Berliner Band im Jahr 2018 zu hören, die ihren Sound nicht hinter einer Reihe von Pedalen versteckt. Gitarrensoli, die zwischen den Songs keine Piss-Pause zulassen, alles unterstützt von einem soliden Rhythmus. Klingt wie Johnny Thunders auf einer Fahrt mit Fred "Sonic" Smith auf dem Quaalude Highway, während Ian Hunter (Mott) und Chris Bailey (Saints) auf dem Rücksitz zu einem alten Goat's Head Soup Tape singen.
