Few punk bands have remained in business for as long as the veteran Canadian trio, Dayglo Abortions, has. Since 1979, the band (in one configuration or another) has been offering up no-holds barred punk rock (that was eventually merged with heavy metal), as well as some truly over-the-top (and unforgettable) album cover artwork/images. The Dayglo Abortions are probably the most offensive punk/metal band that Canada has ever spawned besides Bachman-Turner Overdrive and are now back on Tour in Europe and make a stop in Essen!

The Golers are a long standing band from Canada that plays a blend of thrash, crust, punk & metal. If you want to talk about the school of Vancouver heavy metal, the Golers would be one of the professors.
